My family is a Britax family, we have 3 different seats. I would say this is one of the best seats of the Britax family. It gives us plenty of room for my one year old now and can easily see her in this for the many years to come. My three year old has sat in it and still has plenty of room.

She is still currently rear facing, just turned 1 and is only 22 pounds. Will probably keep her rear facing for a little longer, she still doesn't mind getting in it. She often falls asleep as soon as we get down the road.

The fabric is very cute and soft.


This carseat is great. I've used it for two boys so far and it's held up fantastic. It's comfy, easy to use, easy to clean and best of all, Safe! I love the length of rear facing.


It is a great car seat.
It was expensive (compared to other brands) but worth it!
It is defiantly very safe from all the safety features and well built.
I would recommend this to anyone!
The only slight problem I have with it is my son is bigger for his age and the buckle part is a little hard to clasp and not pinch his leg.



We are very pleased with the Britax marathon car seat. Our 10 month old was out growing her infant car seat and didn't enjoy driving until we moved her into this seat. Facing forward, and the height of the seat allows her to look out the window and enjoy the view! She's much more comfortable.

The straps and seat are easy to adjust and install, making it very user friendly (this wasn't the case with our infant seat). I strongly recommend paying the extra money--you'll be pleased with your purchase! I know we'll buy another one for our other car!

Very happy with this carseat. It is easy to install, we still have it rear-facing for our 11-month old son. It is solidly built, I feel safe with him in it. Another important thing: Comfort. Most seats, it seems, have just a thin layer of padding atop the hard molding of the seat. This seat, however, is nice and plush.
When we had this seat checked by our local carseat technician at the firestation he said not to use the tether system until we turn the seat around, the Britax website says you can use the tether rear-facing but we see no point, plus there are no anchors in that position in my car.
One negative is the first couple of weeks , we had our son in the seat with the straps in the lowest position and to tighten him in, while pulling on the front tightener, the metal mechanism under the seat was catching on the molding thus preventing us from tightening as much as needed. But the fireman said to loosen the straps and re-tighten. When he gets a little bigger and graduates to the next level strap height, that will not be an issue. Even now after about a month of use, it is not an issue.
Other than that, our son is very happy in his new 'big boy seat'. I would purchase this seat again if I needed to.


Easy to install and use. High quality and material. Rated high in saftey. Completely worth the price.


Looks great. My chubby 25 pound 5 month old fits well.
I figured out to get him unbuckled I push on the button and pull on the leg straps (not the shoulder straps). I wish the velcro on the sides to hold the straps open was a little bigger or better placed. It takes up a lot of space in our Toyota Corolla but a not too tall passenger can still sit in the front.


My husband and I purchased this seat for our fast growing tall son. He was already 28 inches long and hanging out of his infant car seat at 5 Months so we knew it was time to puchase another. We knew we had to buy a convertable one that would last him, beacuse he is pushing 30 lbs. That is why we decided on the Marathon over the Roundabout because he will most likely be to big for the Roundabout before he is able to be out of a carseat. This is the eighth car seat we have purchased between our three children and we hope we will not have to purchase another.

When we recieved this seat I was worried of its substantal size becuse it had to fit in an extended cab truck, so room is an issue. Not a problem!!!!! It fits great, up against my 4 year olds seat and my eldest daughter can still fit in the back.

This seat was amazingly easy to install with the latch system. I feel it has an all together better latch system period, than any of the other car seats we have owned. It took me less than 5 minutes to install. The great thing was that I didn't need my husbands help. And with most of the latch systems I have to climb into the actual seat to restrain it properly because I am small. Not with this one. They made installing this seat with the latch system small person friendly.

I am also happy that it is made in the USA. And would gladly spend the extra money on just that aspect. Thank You Britax.....


Very pleased with the response time from ordering to delivery. No problems or compliants with product; everything was as states, it fit perfectably. The Amazon car seat also was the best price via other inrerset providers as well as local stores in my area.
